Why people choose me

Tech help without the headache.

You shouldn't need a computer science degree to get a straight answer about your own computer. Here's what working with me actually feels like.

No fix, no fee — for real

Most shops charge a "diagnostic" fee just to look at your machine, even when they get nowhere. I don't. If I can't solve your problem, you walk away owing nothing. You pay for results, not guesses.

Plain English, every time

No jargon, no scare tactics, no upselling you things you don't need. I'll explain what's wrong and what it'll take to fix it in language that actually makes sense — then let you decide.

You get me, not a call center

When you reach out, you're talking to the person who'll actually do the work. I answer every message myself, I do the work myself, and I stand behind every fix. No scripts, no runaround, no pressure.

What I fix

If it has a screen or a plug, I can probably help.

Computers, laptops, printers, networks, and all the little things that decide to stop working at the worst possible time. Here's the work I do most.

Slow, frozen & crashing PCs

Cleanups, tune-ups, and smart upgrades that bring a sluggish or freezing machine back to life — often for far less than buying new.

Virus & malware removal

Clearing out infections, pop-ups, and scams, then locking things down with proper protection so they stay gone for good.

Won't turn on or boot

Dead machines, boot loops, and blue screens — I track down what's really going wrong and tell you straight whether it's worth fixing.

New device setup

New PC, laptop, or printer? I'll get it updated and ready to go, move your files over, and make sure everything just works from day one.

Wi-Fi & home networks

Dead zones, dropped connections, and cranky routers sorted out so your internet finally works in every room of the house.

Data backup & recovery

Rescuing precious files from failing drives, and setting up backups so a crash never costs you your photos or documents again.

Not sure if it's fixable? Ask anyway. If I take a look and can't sort it out, you owe me nothing. See everything I handle →

The difference

The old way vs. my way.

You already know how a typical computer-repair experience goes. Here's how I do things differently.

The typical shop

What you're used to dealing with
  • Charges a fee just to look, fixed or not
  • Talks over your head with confusing jargon
  • Pushes upgrades and add-ons you don't need
  • Leaves your machine for a week or more
  • A different person every time you call

Who you're dealing with
Hi, I'm Andy.

I've spent years fixing the kind of computer problems that make people want to throw the whole thing out the window. I'm local, I answer every message myself, and I explain things without the tech jargon.

No call centers, no scripts, no pressure. Just a straight answer and a fair price. And if I genuinely can't fix it, I'm not going to charge you to find that out. To me, a broken machine isn't a hassle — it's a puzzle, and I genuinely enjoy solving it.

Common questions

What does it cost?

Fair pricing that we agree on up front, and free if I can't fix it. Most everyday repairs land in the $80–140 range, smaller fixes less. No diagnostic fees, and no call-out charge just to take a look.

Can I just drop my computer off?

Yes — that's the easiest way. Fill out the drop-off form so I know what's wrong, bring it by, and I'll message you the moment it's ready for pickup.

What does "free if you can't fix it" mean?

Exactly that. If I can't solve your problem, you don't pay for the visit. You only pay once it's actually working. No hidden "looking at it" fee, no consolation charge.

What kinds of problems do you handle?

Slow or frozen computers, viruses, machines that won't boot, Wi-Fi and network trouble, new device setup, data recovery, printer headaches, software issues, and most everything in between. If it has a screen or a plug, ask away.

Do you come to me?

I help in person around eastern Connecticut, and plenty of issues I can take care of remotely too. Whatever's easiest and gets your problem solved fastest.

How soon can you help?

Send a message through the form and I'll get back to you quickly — usually the same day — with the next open slot. Or skip the wait entirely and use the drop-off form.

Do you work with businesses?

Yes. Homes and small businesses are both welcome. From a single laptop to a small office of machines, I'm happy to help keep things running.

Is my data safe with you?

Absolutely. Your files and privacy are treated with care and respect, and I'll always talk you through anything that touches your personal data before I do it.
